The goal of this project is to develop an integrated system for controlling real time chemical emissions in connection with H2S handling in process plants.
The project will innovate on an existing H2S sensor adapted to the conditions associated with in-line measurement of H2S in multifase flow.
In addition, a dosage and control system will be developed for dosing based on real-time measurement of the H2S concentration.
Several independent operators have estimated a significant saving potential, and in Denmark alone it is estimated that the cost of scavenger chemicals could be reduced by a two-digit million amount per year.
In addition, the environmental benefit of a significant reduction of the environmentally-friendly chemicals used in the removal of sulfur. The system will have a global interest partly because of the savings potential, partly due to side effects of overdose.
