
The offshore sector is one of the largest inustries in Denmark. Some 15,000 people are employed within the oil and gas sector and approximately 5,000 people are employed within the offshore wind sector.
The combined turnover in the 2 sectors is approximately € 15 billion.
The offshore industry is extremly diverse employing a wide range of technicians, skilled workers and admistrative people. Most people employed within the offshore industry works onshore at officies, construction yards, workshops and similar. However, a significant amount of people work at the sea, either at oil and gas installations, at offshore turbines or on the many vessels servicing the installations.
